Terms of service
These terms apply when you use rarematter.tech, its free tools and the RareMatter dashboard. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
The service
RareMatter audits websites, collects search and performance data from accounts you connect and from its own crawl, and explains it with an AI SEO expert. The free tools work without an account. The dashboard needs an account and a plan.
Your account
You sign in with a link we email to you, so keep access to that inbox secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person or organisation per account; team members get their own accounts through Teams. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Plans and payment
RareMatter has three paid plans: Solo ($15 a month or $150 a year), Growth ($29 a month or $290 a year) and Studio ($79 a month or $790 a year). Yearly billing is two months free. Plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Every account can try Solo billed monthly free for 7 days, once: a card is required at checkout, nothing is charged for 7 days, and then it bills $15 a month until you cancel. Solo yearly, Growth and Studio have no trial and are charged at checkout. Prices are in US dollars; any taxes are shown at checkout. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payments, taxes, invoices and billing questions; we never see or store your full card number. You can cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the period you paid for. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, as set out in the refund policy. We may change prices for the future; a change never affects a period you have already paid for. Customers who bought the earlier Plus plan ($5, one time) keep it for life, and existing Pro subscribers keep their price for now.
Plan limits
Each plan has limits on websites, pages per scan, monitoring frequency, AI analyst answers, exports, team members and API requests, shown on the pricing page and under Plan & usage. When you reach a limit the action is paused until it resets or you upgrade.
Acceptable use
Only add websites you own or are authorised to audit. Do not use RareMatter to overload, attack or probe sites for vulnerabilities, to get around our rate limits, to resell the service or its data without permission, or for anything unlawful. Our crawler identifies itself and respects robots.txt. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
AI answers and third-party data
The AI analyst is built to cite evidence from your audit and connected data, but it can still be wrong. Data from Google, Bing and other third parties is shown as they report it, and any third-party estimates are estimates. Check important changes before you make them; RareMatter never edits your site for you.
Your content
You keep ownership of your websites, data and reports. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy.
Availability
We work to keep RareMatter running and your data backed up, but the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or remove features; if we remove a core feature of a plan you paid for, we will tell you first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, RareMatter is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost rankings, traffic, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can stop using RareMatter at any time; cancel your plan under Billing and email [email protected] if you want your account deleted. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that we are required to close by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date below and tell signed-in customers in the dashboard or by email before the change takes effect.
