What's the catch?
There isn't one. Open models keep compute at $0, the daily cap keeps it that way, and an optional Pro plan ($12) sells frontier models to people who want them. The free tier is the product, not the funnel bait.
Will free become paid later?
No. Everything listed under Free forever — Atoms, Web Agent, CLI, Cloud, Desktop — stays free. Paid features are additions, never migrations.
What happens when I run out of Atoms?
You wait for the midnight refill. No overage, no upsell wall — just a countdown timer that always ends at $0.
Why not unlimited?
