See each page's Google clicks in WordPress and publish the AI-drafted SEO fixes you approve into Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO or SEOPress.

== Description ==

RareMatter is an AI SEO assistant that works from your own Google Search Console data. It finds the pages where you are losing clicks, ranks what to fix first and drafts the fixes. This plugin connects your WordPress site to your RareMatter account so that the fixes you approve can be published in one click, and so that you can see each page's Google clicks without leaving WordPress.

**A free RareMatter account is required.** The plugin is a connector: the analysis and the AI drafting happen in the RareMatter service at rarematter.tech, and the plugin does nothing useful until you connect it. The Free plan covers one website, with 10 AI answers a month and no card. See "External services" below for exactly what is sent.

**This is not another full SEO plugin.** It has no analysis checklist, sitemaps, schema, redirects or settings meta box, because your SEO plugin already does that. It adds what SEO plugins don't have:

* **Real Google numbers per post**, from your own Search Console, on the post lists and in the editor.
* **Fixes chosen by impact on clicks**, not by a checklist score, drafted for you and written into the SEO plugin you already use after you approve them.
* **Proof:** 28 days after each fix, RareMatter shows the page's Google clicks before and after.
* **A full change log with one-click undo**, so nothing is a black box.

**Your Google numbers where you work**

* A **Google clicks (28 days)** column on your posts, pages and products lists, with the change against the 28 days before (for example +12).
* A **RareMatter box in the editor**: the page's clicks, impressions, average position, the searches that bring visitors to it, and any fixes waiting for it.
* A **dashboard box** with your site's Google clicks, the fixes waiting for you and what changed recently.

**One-click fixes that work with the SEO plugin you already use**

Nothing to migrate and nothing to replace. The fixes you approve in RareMatter are saved in:

* Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress: titles, meta descriptions and canonicals of posts, pages, products, categories, tags and product categories, and the home page.
* All in One SEO: titles, meta descriptions and canonicals of posts, pages and products.
* No SEO plugin: RareMatter prints the title, meta description and canonical itself.
* Page headings (the post title, usually the H1) on any site.

**You stay in control**

* Nothing changes until you approve that exact value in RareMatter and click Publish.
* Every change has one-click undo, which restores the previous value.
* Settings → RareMatter lists the last 50 changes, with what each value was before.
* Robots settings (noindex, nofollow) are never changed.
* RareMatter can only call your site with a secret key, and every request is signed (HMAC-SHA256), must be less than five minutes old and can only be used once.

**Quiet by design.** No banners, no review requests, no upsell notices and no scripts on your pages.

Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO and SEOPress are trademarks of their respective owners. RareMatter is not affiliated with them; the plugin only writes into the fields they already provide.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate the plugin from Plugins → Add New, or upload the zip.
2. Open Settings → RareMatter and click **Connect with RareMatter**.
3. Sign in to RareMatter (or create a free account), confirm your website, and you are sent back connected.
4. Connect Google Search Console in RareMatter if you have not already. Your pages' clicks then appear in WordPress.

Prefer not to use the button? Create a key under Integrations → WordPress in RareMatter and paste it under "Connect with a key instead".

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need a RareMatter account? =

Yes. The plugin connects your site to RareMatter (https://rarematter.tech). The Free plan covers one website with no card. Without a connection the plugin does not contact any server and does not change anything.

= Does it replace Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress? =

No. It writes into the fields your SEO plugin already uses, so you see each change in its editor box and it keeps printing the tags. If you use no SEO plugin, RareMatter prints the title, meta description and canonical itself.

= Can RareMatter change my site without asking? =

No. Every change needs your approval in RareMatter. RareMatter can only call this site with its secret key, and every request is signed, must be less than five minutes old and can only be used once. Robots settings (noindex, nofollow) are never changed.

= How do I undo a change? =

Click Undo next to the fix in RareMatter's Fix Studio. The previous value, shown under "Was" in Settings → RareMatter, is restored.

= Can I turn off the clicks column and editor box? =

Yes. Untick "Google numbers in WordPress" under Settings → RareMatter. The column can also be hidden per user from Screen Options. With the setting off, the plugin sends nothing to RareMatter except when you connect or when you publish or undo a fix.

= What data leaves my site? =

See "External services" below. No data about your visitors is ever sent.

= Is it free? =

The plugin is free. RareMatter has a Free plan for one website, and paid plans for more websites, monitoring and more AI answers. See https://rarematter.tech for current prices.

= What happens when I disconnect or uninstall? =

Disconnecting stops RareMatter from changing this site. Uninstalling also removes the connection key, settings, change log and any values RareMatter stored itself. Values saved in your SEO plugin stay, as if you had typed them there. You can also remove the website in your RareMatter account.

== External services ==

This plugin connects to RareMatter (https://rarematter.tech), the service that holds your Search Console data and drafts the SEO fixes the plugin publishes. A RareMatter account is required. Nothing is sent until you click Connect with RareMatter (or paste a key).

* **Connecting.** When you click Connect with RareMatter, you are sent to https://rarematter.tech/wordpress/authorize with this site's home address and the settings page address to return to. When you come back, or when you paste a key, the plugin sends this site's home and REST API addresses, the plugin version and the name of the active SEO plugin, together with the one-time code or key, to https://rarematter.tech/api/wordpress/exchange (or /api/wordpress/connect).
* **Google numbers.** While connected, and unless you switch it off under Settings → RareMatter, the plugin sends the addresses (URLs) of the posts shown on the posts list, in the editor or on the dashboard to https://rarematter.tech/api/wordpress/insights, signed with your site's key, and receives their Google clicks, impressions, position, top searches and waiting fixes. Each answer is cached for six hours.
* **Publishing.** RareMatter calls this site's REST API (rarematter/v1/status and rarematter/v1/apply) only when you publish, undo or test a fix in RareMatter. Each request carries the page address, the field and the new value.
* No data about your visitors is collected or sent. No personal data about you or your users is sent; the account you use at RareMatter is your own.
